Econ Dryers use GreenDry an energy-efficient condensation drying system from Wintersteiger.
Heating rods switch on briefly at the start of the drying cycle until they reach the necessary operating temperature.
They are then only switched on again when needed, if the locker falls below the required operating temperature.
Over time the Econ Lockers can be an economical investment as they use less energy making them more environmentally friendly.
During condensation drying, moisture is condensed on side-mounted copper tubes that form part of a closed coolant circuit.
The condensate is either collected in a water tank on the back of the device or fed directly back into the wastewater system.
In addition to the energy savings, other benefits include an improved indoor climate and use at an ambient temperature of 7 °C and above.
As the moisture is drawn out of the clothing in the locker and discharged, the ambient air is not saturated with moisture. This prevents mould and unpleasant musty smells ideal for basement and common rooms.
Econ drying lockers from Wintersteiger vary in both size and capacity. They offer drying solutions for up to 4 to a Team of 16 people.
The dryers are constructed from galvanized steel, which is then powder coated grey. All lockers are fitted with a sash lock which is lockable to keep contents secure.
